ADS Safety Window Film has prevented an attempted smash and grab raid at a high street shop in Chard, Somerset. A concrete boulder was thrown three or four times at the shop front of Barons Menswear in the early hours of the morning in an attempt to smash the glass. Although the glass shattered, the safety film held the pieces intact within the window frame and prevented the “would be” thieves from gaining access to the shop.
The ADS Safety Film has now been installed to neighbouring shops that saw first hand the real benefits of the film.
Shop proprietor John Baron comments: “There is no doubt in my mind that the safety film prevented a burglary. This was no speculative, random attempt. It was the second attempted break in and it was definitely planned. The first attempt was on a window that didn’t have safety film and that unfortunately succeeded.”
