ADS Window Films complete coloured window film work at local Plymouth School....June 2011
ADS Window Films have recently completed the application of coloured window film, to sky lights, for visually impaired children at the Wood View Learning Community, a community of partners based around a federation of schools in Plymouth, namely, Sir John Hunt Community Sports College, Woodlands Community Special School and Whitleigh Community Primary School. This formal collaboration of partners also includes Whitleigh Children's Centre, Wise Owls Neighbourhood Nursery, a Pupil Referral Unit for Young Parents, Wood View Residential Short Break Service, Whitleigh Youth Centre and Adult Education and more recently the Plymouth Forest School.
A fantastic job done by Greg and Mark working from 7 in the morning till late to get the job completed. The school required coloured film on sky lights to help the visually impaired children identify their location by colour, great idea and result.
The headmistress of Woodlands School contacted us to say "The children and staff love the new colours and we have been treated to a sunny day where they have shown the film at its best. Several children simply sat in a particular colour puddle on the floor and refused to move! It has made our school complete. There are now clear visual zones for our visually impaired pupils and this has helped greatly."
Photographs of the completed work can be viewed by visiting the Photo Gallery section of this web site, under the Latest Work Gallery heading
